24 year old Event Planner, Promoter/ Artist Manager Named Jermaine Greaves nicknamed Master Jermaine by his mom. Jermaine Greaves is from Georgetown, Guyana. "I migrated to NYC at 9 years old". He currently lives in Brooklyn NY.

Artist was asked if his city has any affect on his music. He stated he believes NY is a great creative hub for those that seek community and artistic growth.

I would say for me I had to prove myself on multiple occasions to my peers but once they saw how serious I took my job, people started to recognize.

I started in November 2011. At first I would go to events as your average consumer of good music and good vibes. I began to study the industry, internet, blogs and how to really market myself. I would promote at the Electric Warehouse in Brooklyn as well as Afropunk. That was my first festival I worked in the summer of 2012. I also worked from 2013-2016 as Volunteer Coordinator for the Brooklyn Music Festival. The first one took place at Commodore Barry Park then grew to Governors Island. From being out there working, it was such a confidence boost for me. It's great to start to see your years of hard work pay off.

Favorite artists ? Manolo Rose, Kris Kasanova, We Are King, 6black, India Arie, Snoh Allegra, Amy Winehouse, Carl Sherron, Jill Scott, BJ the Chicago Kid, Chance the Rapper, Noname

Biggest influences ? Kanye West, Diddy, Rihanna, Prince & Jay-Z. I like them because they're are very good at branding themselves. However it's refreshing to see how they are innovate. They stay true to themselves and don't give a fuck what anybody says or thinks of them.

Any celebrity crushes? Rihanna, Sade, Janet Jackson, India Arie, Jazmine Sulivan, Jill Scott, Noname

Names of the best artist in your city and or state? I like Radamiz, Chelsea Reject Jimi tents Dyme-A-Duzin, Perry Illest, Spaz zmodius, Iod, TNAHAPEX, Jay Prezi

Jermaine Greaves hopes to show people that you can be anything you want to be as long as you put purpose behind your mission and to be not like the other kids.

Image : I would consider my personality to be fun yet serious. I listen to music a lot, write, read and talk to my friends daily. I post inspirational quotes that I live by and I'm outgoing.

Haters : If you have any, I see haters as a motivation because I'm so comfortable being myself that often times they don't exist to me. I understand the dislike and I keep it moving it healthy. You can not focus on your haters and forget your goals. To do that would be counterproductive to your self growth.

We asked Jermaine is there any other artists he's thinking about collaborating with or someone he's already collaborated with already? Got some surprises in the works. Stay tuned. Jermaine is also writing a new album. So be on the lookout for that as well.

Jermaine's Activities outside of his talents : I work at the office of the Mayor for Immigrants Services as a volunteer. I enjoy writing and reading. I love to eat food and go to the library. I also have two clothing brands out right now, Not like the other kids and Trippy Inc NYC. Not like the other kids is a collaboration with a Staten Island based clothing company Stereotype Co who believe people should follow their dreams and they help them achieve them.
